Open Source: Turning a Potential Pitfall into Opportunity
Great business advantage awaits companies who can use open source code to make a better proprietary product cheaper or faster. However traditional thinking divides companies into two camps: open source companies that embrace the open source business model and have no proprietary products and proprietary software companies that may want to use open source software either in the development process or as part of the product but often dare not risk doing so because of the legal risks.
