TechAmerica Florida partnered with the South Florida Technology Alliance to recognize those high tech leaders that have made a significant contribution to the state of the technology industry in Florida.
The 2009 Abacus Awards recognized:
- Lifetime Achievement Award: Brad Pedersen, Chief Architect and Senior Fellow, Citrix Systems, Inc.
- Entrepreneur of the Year Award: Kim Patrick Kobza, Co-Founder, Neighborhood America
- Researcher of the Year Award: Cynthia K. Burzell, Ph.D., Founder and President, AEQUOR, Inc.
- Cool Tech Award: Spelling City, Inc.
