Awards & Industry Recognition
As the largest high-tech trade association in the United States, TechAmerica and TechAmerica Foundation, the 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-partisan affiliate of the association, recognize excellence by individual innovators, products, and companies for making an impact in our industry. Two national award programs — The David Packard Medal of Achievement & Innovator Awards and The Termans — are held annually, as-well-as regional programs are held across the country.

The TechAmerica Foundation Annual Technology and Government Dinner is the premier Washington, DC technology networking event bringing hundreds of tech industry, congressional, and government leaders together at one venue to celebrate the partnership between industry and government. At the program “The Termans” are presented for the best in American Technology and Government
In past years, attendees have joined TechAmerica Foundation (then AeA) for the sold-out event to hear keynote addresses from top industry leader executives. Additionally last year, TechAmerica Foundation’s Government Executive of the Year also provided a keynote.

The David Packard Medal of Achievement & Innovator Awards

TechAmerica’s David Packard Medal of Achievement and Innovator Awards annual dinner honors the innovators of technology. Since 1959 the event has featured our highest award, the David Packard Medal of Achievement, to honor significant lifetime contributors and pioneers of the high-tech industry. Innovator Awards are also bestowed upon eight innovators representing different industry segments.
The recipients of both the David Packard Medal of Achievement and Innovator Awards are selected from the TechAmerica membership and honored at our annual dinner. It is TechAmerica’s privilege to offer these prestigious awards to our industry’s luminaries.

TechAmerica Europe Awards Established in 1990 in Brussels, TechAmerica Europe focuses on managing issues surrounding environment, regulatory standards, security policy, and the impact of EU policies on transatlantic trade, investments, jobs, research, education, and community affairs throughout Europe. Annually the members recognize the three best issue leaders within the S&P, S&C, and EHS working groups; and they also present a Nulli Secundus award to an individual who made the biggest impact. |

Oregon

Oregon Technology Awards The Oregon Technology Awards was established in 1984 by the Cascade Pacific Council of the Boy Scouts of America when the first High Technology Good Scout Award was presented to Douglas C. Strain of Electro Scientific Industries. In 1987, the award was renamed the Technology Executive of the Year Award and in 2007 TechAmerica Oregon assumed leadership of this Oregon Technology Industry tradition. Since then, the night provides an opportunity to invest in our future innovators with proceeds from the evening going to support math, science and technology education. |
