Jennifer A. Kerber

Vice President, Federal & Homeland Security Policy

Jennifer KerberJennifer A. Kerber is Vice President for Federal & Homeland Security Policy at TechAmerica.  Ms. Kerber focuses on policy issues regarding the use of information technology for homeland security and law enforcement applications, with a special emphasis on identity management.

She is deeply involved in the vast spectrum of policy issues surrounding identity management, including: identity authentication, verification, document security, radio frequency identification (RFID), and biometrics. She closely follows other issues such as health IT, green IT, cybersecurity, and government contracting.  Ms. Kerber is also in charge of the activities of the Federal, Homeland Security and Space Committees at the Association.

Prior to joining TechAmerica, Ms. Kerber spent several years in the federal marketing and lobbying practice of the Jefferson Consulting Group.  While there, she advocated before Congress and the Administration on behalf of numerous private sector clients on a wide range of issues, including: transportation, information security, privacy, terrorism risk assessment, identity fraud, and technology research and development.  She also has extensive experience on the state level, having worked in the Texas legislature and run a state representative political campaign.

Ms. Kerber earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science with a minor in Journalism from Texas A&M University in College Station.  She serves as a board member for the National Capital Texas A&M Club and the JMKL Melanoma Foundation.
