PS Defense Committee

This committee represents the interests of technology vendors in the Department of Defense and Intelligence community marketplace. Providing a venue for the largest of government sector clients, the Defense Committee focuses on topics such as business software and enterprise solutions, logistics, RFID, information assurance, wireless, and Netcentric operations, information sharing and acquisition of technology in these arenas. This committee meets every month on the last Wednesday of the month from 9:00 – 11:00 AM ET.

- DoD Acquisition Reform Task Group
The PS DoD Acquisition Task Group is focused on developing industry recommendations for reform that can facilitate timely and responsive technology acquisitions. - DoD Logistics Modernization Task Group
The PS DoD Logistics Modernization Task Group is focused on IT systems as part of logistics at the Department and is developing recommendations regarding modernization of logistics. - Defense Cyber Subcommittee
The PS Defense Cyber Subcommittee focuses on the initiatives under consideration or underway to address cyber security and information assurance issues in the National Security arena. - Intelligence Subcommittee
The PS Intelligence Subcommittee hosts bi-monthly classified (TS) briefings with government officials. The subcommittee is focused on the specific needs of the Intelligence community, particularly on developments related to information sharing and reform of the security clearance granting process. - Defense Outreach Task Group
The PS Defense Outreach Task Group works to develop the technology industry perspective and deliver to program managers and contracting, acquisition and procurement officers as part of the curriculum at federal acquisition institutes. It provides senior industry speakers opportunities to present this perspective to the National Defense University and the Defense Acquisition University. - Security Clearance Reform Task Group
The PS Security Clearance Reform Task Group focuses on efforts to reform the personnel clearance process, including coordinating the Security Clearance Reform Coalition. - PS Defense Roundtable Dialogue Series
These roundtable events allow dialogue between Defense Department officials and industry executives in an intimate, non-sales environment. Current policy issues and programs are discussed as appropriate by attendees.
