Washington, DC – TechAmerica’s acting President & CEO Dan Varroney issued this statement following the announcement that U.S. Chief Technology Officer Aneesh Chopra will depart his position at the White House.
“We’ve had the pleasure of working with Aneesh for many years during both his tenure as CTO and his leadership in the commonwealth of Virginia. He’s made an indelible mark on technology policy in this country because of his belief in the transformative nature of technology that resulted in powerful collaborations between government and the industry that will benefit our country long past Aneesh’s last day as CTO.
Just last week, he was in our office talking with our REAL Agenda Commission, a commission he asked us to form, to provide ICT industry strategic recommendations on how technology, and access to it, can change the way our country thinks about education.
As the tech industry, we look forward to engaging the next CTO to tackle some of our nation’s greatest challenges.”
