State & Local Executive Breakfast with Massachusetts CIO Anne Margulies and City of Boston CIO Bill Oates
June 29, 2010 ~ Boston, MA

New decade brings new opportunities: Massachusetts Top Technology Leaders address IT and Innovation
Massachusetts has long been a national technology center and a leader in innovation with a large number of universities and a highly educated population. In an effort to better serve its tech savvy citizens, the Commonwealth has undertaken one of the nation’s most sweeping reorganizations of its IT services.
Join TechAmerica and INPUT for a State and Local Executive Breakfast featuring Anne Margulies, Chief Information Officer, Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and Bill Oates, Chief information Officer, City of Boston, to learn what’s next for Massachusetts.
During this breakfast session the following topics will be addressed:
- Upcoming technology opportunities
- Status update on major technology investments within Boston and Massachusetts
- Responsibility in the delivery of IT services outlined by Anne Margulies and Bill Oates
- Improvement plans for the operation of IT systems
The event will also feature Chris Dixon, manager, State & Local Government Analysis for INPUT. He will discuss how key tech trends are playing out in Massachusetts, and where national driving forces, including the upcoming elections, may influence the state’s technology environment. Dixon will also discuss major technology investments within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and top opportunities for technology vendors in 2010 and beyond.
