The TechAmerica Foundation Vision Conference CD is available for purchase. The Vision Forecast Study offers a detailed analysis of government agencies’ spending plans in order to help the high-tech industry understand current and emerging government requirements for technology, services and equipment. The DoD presentations provide a ten-year outlook for U.S. defense spending, with the Civil agency presentations dedicated to forecasting the next five years of federal civilian information technology spending.

The CD includes the following industry presentations that were made on October 21-22. This is a result of a team effort that included over 300 volunteers.

  • DoD Day: Macroeconomic and Topline Forecast, C4ISR/IT, Cyber Security, Services & Support, NASA, Aircraft, Space, Ships, Vehicles, Missile Defense/Precision Munitions, Industry Outlook
  • Civil Day: Federal IT Forecast, DHS, GSA, Federal Health (Health IT, HHS, VA, MHS), Treasury, Transportation, USDA, Justice, State, Commerce, Energy

A transcript version of the CD is also available. Those who order the transcript version will receive it via mail by early December in addition to immediately receiving the CD without transcript upon order.

Overview

Join the TechAmerica Foundation as it presents the most authoritative, well-referenced market forecast in the industry at the 45th annual Vision Conference. The Vision Forecast offers a detailed analysis of government agencies’ spending plans in order to help the high-tech industry understand current and emerging government requirements for technology, services and equipment. This year’s program offers the first comprehensive look at how the new Administration’s plans will shape the marketplace.

Day one of the Vision Conference is dedicated to providing a ten-year outlook for U.S. defense spending, with day two dedicated to forecasting the next five years of federal civilian information technology spending. The Vision Conference is truly a forecast to industry, by industry and not a traditional commercial endeavor in which a single analyst conducts and publishes a for-profit study.

The forecast is developed through a rigorous process in which hundreds of volunteer analysts and experts from TechAmerica member companies are organized into 25 study teams who meet with government agencies, analyze the results and share their findings with industry representatives at the Vision Conference.
