TechAmerica is the largest and strongest voice and resource for technology in the United States and is the industry’s leading trade association.

TechAmerica Washington, founded in 1956, serves the interests of high-tech companies in the Pacific Northwest. TechAmerica has allied with the Washington Technology Industry Association to support TechAmerica Washington’s members and offer a broader portfolio of benefits and programs. TechAmerica Foundation’s Cyberstates 2011: Job Losses in U.S. High-Tech Industry Decline in 2010

cyberstates2011_coverWashington’s high-tech industry remained steady on the jobs front, neither gaining nor losing jobs in 2010, and totaling 183,400.  This stability is compared with a two percent loss in the state’s private sector workforce in 2010. The state’s largest sector remains software publishers, which shed 800 net jobs for a total of 50,800 jobs.
