Description

This half-day program will provide a current analysis of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009 and its likely impact on State, Local, and Federal Government technology budgets. Don’t miss this opportunity to better understand the federal stimulus package, government procurement processes and regulations, opportunities at the state and local level, and how to position your organization for success.

An estimated $50 billion in federal stimulus funding with significant technology spending potential is flowing to the states and localities. On July 9, expert speakers will provide an overview of the allowable technology expenditures under each funding stream at the state, local, and federal levels.

Who should attend: Senior executives, corporate strategic planners, business development, marketing, and state and local government technology directors.

Topics:

  • High-level overview of stimulus funding streams with allowable technology expenses.
  • Impact of technology stimulus funding on the Silicon Valley and state of California.
  • Creating an internal plan for obtaining stimulus funds.
  • Recommendations on how IT contractors should partner, identify and seed
opportunities funded by stimulus monies (state and federal).
  • Procurement regulations and legal considerations when working with the government.
